1. Appointments and Cancellations
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time or rescheduling.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Less notice may incur a cancellation fee.
Missed appointments without prior notice may result in a charge and could affect your ability to book future appointments.
2. Treatment Planning and Consent
After your consultation, we will provide you with a written treatment plan and cost estimate.
It is your responsibility to ensure you fully understand the proposed treatment before providing consent.
No treatment will be carried out without valid informed consent from the patient or legal guardian (if applicable).
You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time.
3. Fees and Payment
We are a private dental practice. All private treatment prices are confirmed before treatment begins.
Payments for private treatments must be made in advance or on the day unless agreed otherwise in writing.
We accept cash, major debit/credit cards, and where applicable, finance options. Cheques are not accepted.
Non-payment may result in suspension of further treatment and recovery action.
4. NHS Patients
We are a private dental practice and do not take NHS patients.
5. Guarantees
Certain private treatments (e.g., crowns, bridges, fillings) may include a guarantee, typically valid for 12 months.
Guarantees are void if oral health deteriorates due to poor hygiene, trauma, or failure to attend recommended reviews.
6. Patient Responsibilities
You must provide accurate and up-to-date medical history.
Notify us promptly of any changes to your contact details, medical conditions, or medications.
All patients and visitors must treat our staff and other patients with respect.
Abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from our patient list.
7. Confidentiality and Data Protection
We comply fully with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
All personal and medical information is kept strictly confidential.
You have the right to access your records in line with applicable laws.

8. Complaints Procedure
We strive to provide the highest standard of care. If you are unhappy with our service, please raise the matter promptly.
Formal complaints should be submitted in writing to the Practice Manager at: info@moorlanddentalclinic.co.uk.
9. Children and Vulnerable Adults
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and all staff receive regular safeguarding training.
10. Liability
We take all reasonable care to ensure safety and satisfaction; however, we are not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage.
Liability is limited to the fees paid for the treatment in question.
11. Right to Refuse Treatment
We reserve the right to refuse treatment if a patient is abusive, fails to follow clinical advice, is under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or has outstanding unpaid fees.
12. Amendments to Terms
Allen Dental Care & Implant Centre @ Moorland Dental Clinic reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
